As I Please

Hello, and welcome to my blog. I write this assuming someone will read it. During WW2, Orwell produced a regular piece called 'As I Please,' in which he commented on a wide variety of things, from French literature to Indian Independence, stoping along the way to talk about the price of cigarettes versus books and raising chickens. This will be, I hope, that kind of thing. Except, well, I know little about any of those subjects, and I am not the writer Orwell was, and he had an audience. But otherwise, exactly the same. Things I expect to comment on: bicycles and cycling; plants; books; farming; the kids; becoming a parent of three kids, instead of the two right now; books I have read; and the like.
And the mister brown part? It is the name I gave to a bike I rode through my undergraduate degree at UVic, and part way through my time at Regent. It is a browny gold Raleigh Super Course, ca. 1978. It is not the Moulton I have on the title page. I will have to take some picture of the actual bike and put it up. I am now going to bed.
